Why I Launched the Petition

I launched the recall petition because Calgary has a Mayor and Council that actively ignores Calgarians and forces through policies that they didn’t campaign on and that don’t align with the wishes of the people. They get elected and then feel entitled to do whatever they want without accountability because Calgarians “can’t do anything about it” until the next election. The recall petition was to remind them that we can do something. A message that that Calgarians are powerful, they are paying attention, and they are not satisfied with the direction of City Hall. With 7 incumbents not seeking re-election, they heard us.
